With the pandemic resulting in more and more people staying home, startups all over the world have been working on ways to make life at home easier, starting with the look and feel of their living spaces.
Throughout 2020, we’ve seen a huge boom in software-as-a-service products, smart home devices, smart cities and well… cannabis products. Legally, individuals can grow cannabis at home with a limit of up to four plants per residence for personal use. Finding ways to do this properly is not always easy. That’s where Mary AG comes in.
Mary is a smart indoor grow box which is “a piece of art that happens to grow cannabis.”
Mary AG is helping its customers grow whatever they want, when they want it and where they want it all while working to destigmatize cannabis growing as a whole.
What makes Mary AG stand out from the rest?
Before Mary AG entered the picture, home growing was unexciting, expensive and complicated. The cheapest grow box model sported a $3049 CAD price tag. Mary AG gives you everything you need and more with a sleek design for $1299 CAD. Not to mention, this grow box comes with a high return on investment for very little work. Based on Mary’s existing customers, the average cost per gram is decreased by 85%-92%. A Mary unit is generally paid off by its second or third harvest (approximately 6-9 months).
With a built-in air conditioner, Mary helps maintain consistent temperature of the grow chamber while protecting the plant from outside contaminants. This also ensures there are no odours, no pests and no mould.
Get the high yields in a small footprint by bathing your plant with light. Mary’s hololights deliver the ideal spectrum for each stage of growth. Unlike traditional hydroponic setups, the light source is positioned around your plant to expose as much surface area as possible to light resulting in a fuller plant and larger harvest. You’ll get the lighting equivalent of a sunny July day in California, while using less energy than a 70” LED TV.
Pre-measured, species-specific nutrients for every stage of growth for your plant make feeding easy. Mary lets you know exactly what your plant needs, when it needs it, taking all of the guesswork out of the equation. Pop one open; pour it in; throw it out. It’s that easy.
Dual E-Glass & External LEDs
Dual E-glass turns clear with a tap of the button on your phone to show off your plant, or opaque to block out all the outside light and simulate natural nights for your plant to sleep. Mary’s multi-colour external LEDs are controlled from the smartphone app, allowing you to set your Mary to whichever colour fits your décor.
Developed and Built In Canada
Besides Mary being one of the most competitively priced products on the market, all products are listed in Canadian dollars. That means it costs less for those of you outside of Canada after conversion. With Mary being proudly built in Canada, they are leading the charge in the home grow box industry. That’s the true power of being true north strong and free.
Mary Works While You Live
Get data-driven growth with your smartphone. You don’t need to know anything about growing. Just put in the seed or seedling, sit back and watch it grow. Mary has over a dozen sensors built-in to constantly monitor and analyze everything that is important to your plant’s growth. Each time you grow, Mary learns how to produce a larger harvest in less time through learning from all other units in the community.
Live data such as light, height and water level is delivered right to your smartphone. On top of that, you are also receiving strain-specific automation recipes and in-app support. You can be anywhere in the world while Mary works for you.
What’s Next For Mary AG?
Mary AG is taking its growth to China. The company has secured a license to grow hemp for CBD in China in addition to a license to extract and process the non-intoxicating cannabis compound.
Over the next six months, Mary plans to take its vertical growing technology that is currently in its grow boxes and scale it into a 150,000 square-foot EU good manufacturing practice (GMP) compliant cultivation and extraction operation. “Once construction at its Yunnan facility is complete and the first hemp crop is harvested, the company plans to sell raw CBD extract to product manufacturers and eventually roll out its own line of infused consumer products.” [Source]
