With a new generation of patients growing up at a time of complete interconnectedness with social networks, the idea that healthcare could be cast aside is proving to be futile. Behavioural change is something that can only happen when people accept, adopt and promote change. Patients are demanding a different way of interacting with their doctors, they are researching, diagnosing and implementing lifestyle changes based on information found online and via social media.
