Paul Barter, Altitude Accelerator’s Entrepreneur-in-Residence, has recently accepted a 3-year posting beginning July 1, 2021 as an Adjunct Professor at the York University Schulich School of Business. With over two decades of teaching experience at Schulich, Paul teaches 2nd year MBA students the importance of business strategy in a world of fast changing technologies. Strategy is a key driver of success for individuals, firms, and society in the 21st century, and his MBA course highlights how technologies can enable the creation, delivery, and capture of value.
“Strategy is important to every company of course but in the world of fast changing technology, companies developing a strategy and then executing and adjusting tactics in real time can mean the difference between exponential success and closing the doors.”
Paul is an innovation, entrepreneurship, and research executive with over 30 years of experience in the technology sector. In addition to his industry experience in strategy, innovation, consulting, and marketing and sales, Paul writes and speaks extensively about the intersection of technology and society. As an EIR, Paul provides mentorship, advisory, and fundraising services to dozens of RIC’s fast-growing technology startups. He also mentors RIC clients in the MVP to Market and Incubator programs where he hosts 1:1 marketing coaching calls and value proposition discussions. Read more about his work with startups here.
From his diverse background as a management consultant, venture investor, MBA strategy professor, speaker, and EIR, Paul brings his expert knowledge wherever he goes. Whether he is working with global multinationals or entrepreneurial startups, firms come to Paul with ideas, and he helps them discover their path to success.
