TECTERRA’s TAP funding program is designed to assist geomatics technology entrepreneurs and professionals to attend relevant industry events, tradeshows, and conferences in support of their technology commercialization efforts.
TECTERRA recognizes that participation at key industry events can be critical to the success in the development and commercialization of a company’s technology.
Standard TAP funding: TECTERRA will cover up to 100% of the eligible costs (hotel and registration charges) of up to two separate events per year, to a maximum total of $15,000 in any one calendar year per company. All payments will be based on reimbursement basis. Funding under this program is a non-repayable grant from TECTERRA. Successful applicants will be required to sign a Funding Agreement with TECTERRA.
Eligible Recipients
- An individual entrepreneur who is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada and who has established a business venture or startup company in Canada to commercialize geomatics technology.
and/or
- A Canadian small business working on the commercialization of geomatics technology. A general guideline for a qualifying small company is a for-profit company with a minimum of one and no more than 50 full-time employees and annual sales revenue ordinarily not exceeding $5 million. Variations will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
