Are you an Ontario student 15 to 29 years and have a business idea?
The Summer Company program can help you launch and operate a business this summer. The program provides:
• Business training and mentorship to help you get your business up and running.
• Opportunity for a grant up to $3,000 to help you launch your summer business.

What are the Steps to Get Started?
1. Attend a FREE Information Session*:
Attending a virtual information session is a recommended first step in learning about the program, the eligibility criteria, program requirements, application process, and to have your questions answered.

- Thursday, March 30 (6:00pm – 7:30pm)
2. Check your Eligibility:
Ready to apply to the program? The first step is to check your eligibility. To be considered for Summer Company, you must answer a few questions to see if you are eligible to apply to the program. Check eligibility here.
3. Make an Application Inquiry:
If you meet the eligibility requirements, your next step is to complete your ‘Application Inquiry’, select ‘Mississauga’ as the ‘City/Town’ and select the ‘Mississauga Business Enterprise Centre’ if you plan to start your business in Mississauga. We will contact you and send you information, program schedule and document templates to complete your application package, which includes a business plan, start up budget and cash flow forecast.
4.Submit Your Application:
Next step is to submit your full program application, which will include your business plan, start up budget and cash flow forecast. Qualified applicants will be contacted for an interview. Selected candidates will be contacted and invited to participate in the program.
The deadline to apply to the 2023 Summer Company program offered by IDEA Mississauga is Sunday, April 23, 2023 11:59pm. The program will have both in-person and virtual components with mandatory attendance from May 2023 to August 2023.

*These Summer Company Information sessions are hosted by IDEA Mississauga in collaboration with the Brampton Entrepreneur Centre for students interested in applying to the program in the Mississauga or the Brampton area. The program information provided in these Summer Company information sessions will be the same for students eligible to apply to Mississauga’s program or Brampton’s program; however the application deadlines and delivery methods may differ between centres. IDEA Mississauga will only accept program applications for businesses that will be based in Mississauga.
