Due to the intricacy of the products and characteristics of burr and stress free components, Shimifrez metal etching divisions can attract industries looking into micro- fabrication of metal parts which is an industry with a multibillion dollar market cap.
When asked to speak to some of the major challenges that Shimifrez has faced as a business, Hassan comments, “Every business has some hurdles when it wants to expand into new markets, for Shimifrez getting raw and speciality materials were a challenge but new strategies have been implemented to overcome the hurdles.” Overall, although the firm is very active in gaining market share in a variety of industries (like ornaments and decorative etching -see gallery below), there are two major industrial areas that they are excelling in today, namely, cleantech and advanced manufacturing.
