Robot opens MakerSpace in downtown Brampton

At the grand opening of the MakerSpace Creative Hub downtown Brampton, a standard ribbon cutting just wouldn’t suffice. Instead, a robot, powered by VEX robotic technology, wheeled up a 3D printed plaque to be unveiled by representatives from Sheridan College, Brampton Library, the City of Brampton, Canadian Manufacturers and Exporters, and Cimetrix
Solutions.

The grand opening, held in early November at the home of the MakerSpace in Brampton Library’s Four Corners (downtown) branch, launched the opening of publically accessible space for Brampton residents, businesses and community groups to access cutting edge technology.
