“Eligible SMEs receive up to $15,000 in reimbursement funds to develop a digital adoption plan”- DMAP Program guidelines

In this ever-changing era of technological revolution, it is becoming increasingly important for companies to implement digitalization and modernize. Digitalization is playing a key role in the growth of companies by allowing them to release their products into the market quicker. Additionally, digitalization makes it easier for companies to target the right customers at the right time.

Fortunately, the Ontario Centre of Innovation (OCI) has implemented programs which help businesses in their journey to digital adoption. One of the key programs offered by the OCI is the Digitalization Competence Centre (DCC). The DCC is primarily focused on the digital modernization of Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) that are based in Ontario. The main focus of this blog post will be the Digital Modernization and Adoption Plan (DMAP) segment of the DCC program.

What is the DMAP stream?

The goals of the DMAP stream include promoting digital literacy and speeding up the digital adoption process for SMEs. The DMAP stream is geared towards supporting SMEs in gaining a greater understanding of their company’s technological needs and making their technology investments more efficient. Moreover, the DMAP program guides SMEs in the decision-making process involved in their company’s journey to digitalization.

The most exciting news of all is that “eligible SMEs receive up to $15,000 in reimbursement funds to develop a digital adoption plan” as per the DMAP program guidelines. The OCI will cover a maximum of 50% of the total cost of eligible projects up to $15,000.

Is your company eligible?

If your application is accepted for the DMAP grant, you will have to pair up with an eligible Digital Adoption Consultant (DAC) that is registered within the DCC roster. So what are the eligibility requirements? According to the program guidelines, the applicant must:
