Ontario Government Appoints WaterTAP Board Chair and Members

Minister of Research and Innovation Glen Murray has appointed the chair and board members of the Water Technology Acceleration Project (WaterTAP).

The chair is Nicholas Parker, co-founder and Chair of the Cleantech Group.  Seven other board members have been appointed from the private and public sectors.

WaterTAP was established under the Water Opportunities and Water Conservation Act, 2010, to help grow globally competitive companies, and provide high-value jobs in Ontario’s water and wastewater sector.

WaterTAP will identify opportunities, build partnerships, and improve information flow within the water and wastewater sector. This will help make Ontario a leading jurisdiction in the development and commercialization of innovative technologies and services for the treatment and management of water and wastewater.
