Month of the Entrepreneur: May 2012

As we approach the month of May 2012, entrepreneurs should mark their calendars for the following two exciting conferences/trade shows that the Altitude Accelerator will be participating in.

May 11 – Toronto Entrepreneur’s Conference (TEC) 2012
7:30am – 5pm at Hammerson Hall, Living Arts Centre, Mississauga, ON

The TEC is designed to provide both emerging and experienced entrepreneurs with the opportunity to expand their professional network, hear success stories from their fellow entrepreneurs and obtain tips and opportunities to understand what it takes to grow their business and stay thriving. The speakers’ agenda for this conference has been designed for established and new businesses that want to learn strategies on how to handle existing issues (sales, financing, human resources, business valuation, etc.) within their organization. May 14-15 – OCE Discovery 2012
9am – 5pm at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, South Building, 222 Bremnar Boulevard, Toronto, ON

Hosted by the Ontario Centres of Excellence (OCE), Discovery is Canada’s leading innovation-to-commercialization conference.  Discovery brings together key players from industry, academia, government, the investment community as well as entrepreneurs and students to pursue collaboration opportunities. The conference is well attended with over 2,600 participants and more than 330 exhibitors. It is an exhibition of leading-edge technologies, success stories and research from sectors such as health sciences, advanced manufacturing, digital media and clean tech, including energy, environment and water. Keynote industry speakers and panel discussions will be geared towards knowledge-sharing and new perspective generation between entrepreneurs. Networking opportunities between government, industry, academia and entrepreneurs will facilitate the exchange of ideas and encourage new ways to collaborate.
