Knock down business barriers at Small Business Week

Bt Oct Cov 274x300, Altitude AcceleratorSmall and medium-sized businesses account for 99.9 per cent of all Canadian companies and employ close to 90 per cent of private sector workers, according to the Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC).

To honour Canada’s hard-working job engine, the BDC celebrates Small Business Week by encouraging opportunities to bring entrepreneurs together at conferences, luncheons and trade fairs across the country.

The idea is to give them the opportunity to learn, network and enjoy themselves in the company of their peers. “The reality is that the world is getting increasingly smaller, and Canadian entrepreneurs face heightened competition from global competitors,” stated Jean-René Halde, president and CEO, BDC.
