Mr. Patrick Hofbauer from the Intellectual Property Office will be delivering the presentation
Patrick has over 30 years of intellectual property (“IP”) law experience with clients ranging from individual entrepreneurs to multinational corporations. He has extensive experience in the filing and prosecution of mechanical, electro/mechanical and chemical patent applications, trademark applications, the preparation and negotiation of patent licenses, know-how licenses, secrecy agreements, cooperative licensing programs, technology development and joint development agreements. Patrick has been extensively Involved in the conduct and settlement of litigation involving patents, trademarks, copyright and breach of confidentiality. During his distinguished career, Patrick has practiced IP law at large corporate law firms and boutique law firms in both Toronto and Hamilton, culminating with the establishment of his own IP law firm in Burlington. Patrick has lectured over the years to various legal and professional groups on IP law topics and is the author of numerous articles and papers relating to IP law.
