As part of the worldwide celebration of the International Year of Light (IYL) and Light-Based Technologies 2015, the Impact Centre at U of T is hosting a series of events to connect and inspire researchers and industry.
Join Impact Centre on July 21st for the second IYL Industry Day looking at the various applications of light in the healthcare sector.
The use of light in health care is spanning the entire electromagnetic spectrum. The Industry Day aims to highlight the importance of light in the healthcare sector, in particular with respect to diagnostic, surgical and other biomedical devices. Leveraging advances in light-based and light-detection technologies have created a large industry with many applications that save thousands of lives every year.
