Brampton Angels welcomes Suvid Ajmera as the new Lead to help transform Brampton into a thriving hub where innovation meets investment.

With a strong entrepreneurial background, Ajmera will grow the investor community within Brampton Innovation District, connecting entrepreneurs, investors, and industry experts in the region.

Ajmera brings a wealth of experience in marketing, sales, and angel investing to his new position at Brampton Angels.  From his experience working with brands like Mini Cooper, PepsiCo and Doritos, as well as his contribution to high-profile political campaigns, Ajmera is poised to raise awareness for Brampton Angels and effectively grow membership.

As the director of Angel One, he was able to double the membership base, facilitate significant investment capital, and spearhead a women’s initiative to promote diversity in angel investing, showcasing his ability to drive growth and foster community engagement.

Brampton Angels values and advocates for increased diversity in the investment ecosystem and aims to maintain an open group, welcoming both sophisticated and emerging investors to its membership. This inclusive approach extends to leveraging the diverse base in the Brampton area, including immigrant investors who bring unique perspectives and valued experiences to the table.

Brampton Angels is committed to building an investment community that pairs the less experienced investors with the more seasoned ones. Also, through the monthly Angel 101 sessions, investors receive the necessary tools from learning about effectively assessing startups who are raising capital, to legal structures, due diligence, governance, to learning about emerging sector-specific innovations in areas such as artificial intelligence and SaaS etc.

Drawing on his angel group experience and marketing background, Ajmera has a clear vision for growing Brampton Angels’ membership, to develop an engaged investor community with the capacity and willingness to invest in Brampton’s innovative companies.

As a first-generation immigrant, Ajmera is passionate about creating opportunities for diverse voices in the investment community. He states, « I want to see more women investors, » and is committed to bringing more women funders into the ecosystem.  He sees angel investing as more than just making a financial impact but also about building communities and creating local impact as well.

Brampton Angels will play a pivotal role in transforming Brampton into a vibrant hub for entrepreneurship and innovation and is pleased to bring Ajmera’s passion for innovation, his commitment to diversity and sustainable impact to help shape Brampton Angels’ future.
