In the second instalment of our Experts to Entrepreneurs series, the Director of Operations and Automation at Enbridge, Biju Misra, as well as the President of JustWealth, Andrew Kirkland, took the stage to discuss what it means for an organization to be agile and why it is crucial for the long term success of a company.

Biju presented five key tactics for embodying agile innovation:
1. Be hyperaware of your customers, technology, and competition to discover new problems/opportunities.
2. Start small and scale fast through constant prototype testing and customer validation.
3. Fail fast, learn fast, be cheap, learn in the market, and pivot.
4. Fast execution through proper allocation of resources, potential disruption in process, or even through the use of smaller teams.
5. Effective leadership characteristics include adaptability, decisiveness, and curiosity.
Andrew followed suit and spoke about how continuous innovation has helped JustWealth increase their assets under management during these times. Prominent strategies for them consisted of a combination of proactive communication with their client base, as well as, the cyclical process of reporting, tracking, and analyzing data to determine desirable new product offerings/ service shifts.
