CareerConnect – Wage Subsidy for Employers

Connecting Canadian Youth with High Demand ICT Jobs
in High-Demand Fields Program

If you are planning to hire an unemployed post-secondary graduate for a full-time ICT position (minimum three month term) then this program is for you! CareerConnect will subsidize half the eligible participant’s salary up to $16,000.

ICTC is currently accepting applications for 2013-2014 CareerConnect Program – Connecting Canadian Youth with High Demand ICT Jobs in High-Demand Fields. The placements will run until February 28, 2014.

CareerConnect will help you hire eligible unemployed or underemployed graduates that will bring passion, energy, and skills to your company – In return you will be providing them with valuable industry experience. The hope of the program is that you will hire the youth in a full-time role at the end of program.

Please note: The youth’s work term with you (the host employer) cannot begin before the contract between ICTC and the company is signed.

The goals of CareerConnect are to:

  •  Help employers meet the skill shortages they may be experiencing;
  • Create workforce development for Canada’s youth and build their employability for ICT jobs;
  • Bridge the gap between education and employment for Canada’s youth;
