Altitude Accelerator and the Schulich Venture Academy — powered by Schulich Startups at the Schulich School of Business, York University — are pleased to announce a strategic partnership aimed at providing enhanced support and growth opportunities for early-stage and growth-stage technology founders in Ontario.
SVA delivers practitioner-led masterclasses for founders and startup teams. Each program blends real-world, curriculum-based training with hands-on execution frameworks, giving founders the skills needed to scale their companies, improve operational excellence, and increase their VC/investor readiness. Participants learn directly from leaders who have founded, led, and funded some of Canada’s most successful companies; and are supported by access to the broader Schulich network and community.
For over two decades, Altitude Accelerator has been committed to commercializing impactful technology in Southern Ontario through its go-to-market and investor-readiness programs. In addition, the quality of connections the organization has curated through their entrepreneurs-in-residence, volunteer advisory, and investor networks has been critical to helping founders launch to the next stage of their journey. The recent addition of Altitude Accelerator’s angel network has been the natural next step in providing additional investment support for founders ready to raise capital. Since its inception Altitude Accelerator has supported its clients’ growth: $595M in funds raised, $444M in revenue generated, and 6156 employees. Here are some of the Altitude’s success stories.
Through this collaboration, SVA participants and alumni will now gain access to Altitude’s advisory services, technology credits, and complimentary consultation sessions through their network of trusted partners and service providers. Founders applying to Altitude’s Angel Group will also receive priority application review and tailored guidance to advance their funding journey.
This partnership reflects a shared mission: equipping founders with the skills, networks, advisory support, and capital pathways needed to thrive in Canada’s evolving tech landscape.
The Schulich Venture Academy is supported by the Government of Canada through the Federal Economic Development Agency for Southern Ontario (FedDev Ontario), whose support continues to fuel accessible venture education across Ontario.
