Altitude Accelerator is excited to welcome Richard Nonso as our new Marketing and Communications Associate!

Nonso Richard - Headshot

Richard is currently pursuing his Master of Management of Innovation at the University of Toronto, building on a background in Applied Computing and Economics. His interests sit at the intersection of technology, entrepreneurship, and community building, particularly in creating pathways for others to access opportunities in tech.

His journey into innovation was shaped during his time at the University of Windsor’s entrepreneurship centre, where he worked closely with founders, supported programming, and helped deliver initiatives introducing students to startup methodologies like design thinking and Lean Startup. Being immersed in that environment sparked a deeper curiosity, not just about building technology, but about how ideas evolve into ventures that create real impact.

That curiosity, combined with his own experience navigating the tech space as a newcomer and underrepresented student, led him to co-found MyPath2Tech, a youth-focused initiative helping students explore careers in technology. Through hands-on programming, mentorship, and industry exposure, the initiative has supported nearly 200 students and secured over $200,000 in funding to expand its reach.

Richard has also gained experience across product, strategy, and operations through roles in product management, business analysis, and banking operations. Across these experiences, a common thread has been his ability to connect people, ideas, and resources to move initiatives forward.

At Altitude, Richard is excited to contribute to the region’s innovation ecosystem by supporting startups, amplifying their stories, and helping build stronger connections across the community.

We’re thrilled to have him on the team. Welcome, Richard!
