Altitude Accelerator started Founder Fast Track with an understanding that for all the salient advice founders seek out, this may result in experiences that may often be fragmented, inconsistent and contradictory.
We had discussions with David Peterson, longtime advisor and seasoned entrepreneur, and in his experience, founders who “enter the startup world with bold ideas and plenty of ambition” often may not have what it takes to turn that idea into a viable business. In his personal experience, advisors add immense value to startup founders by instilling structure and accountability to the relationship:
“I was super ambitious… but that’s where advisors come in. They help people structure their plan—figure out the roadmap: six months, nine months, one year.”
Founder Fast Track was created to support the ambitious founders, accelerate their success by elevating the advisor-founder relationship through a consistent, accountability program, assembling a dedicated advisory team to provide bespoke and sustained support for each company in a three-month period.
Introducing 100 Global Inc.: The First Founder Fast Track Recipient
Vicky Mansharamani and Jihene Jouini (JJ) are cofounders of 100 Global Inc. They are poised to disrupt the packaging industry through their sustainable paper solutions. JJ, whose experience in international trading and logistics spearheads operations while Vicky, a seasoned executive in procurement, leads the strategy and business development for 100 Global Inc.
The problem they are addressing today: The abundance of packaging waste, especially with global reliance on plastic and virgin pulp packaging that is driving landfill growth and deforestation. JJ adds that municipalities collect millions of tons of fallen leaves and yard waste annually; still, a majority of this goes to landfill, and compounding methane emissions. There are alternatives, but they rely on wood pulp, or feedstocks, or bagasse, a ‘pulpy fibrous’ material remaining from the extraction process in plants like sugarcane or sorghum.
100 Global Inc. solution is a waste-to-value model that diverts one million tons of leaves and yard waste from landfills to be used in compostable paper packing. Their patented technology transforms urban yard waste into pulp, which requires less water, less chemicals, and less energy to produce high-fiber yields.
The company has been the recipient of awards, including Advance Ontario competition with Green Centre Canada, and non-dilutive funding from IRAP, Bio Industrial Innovation, and Intellectual Property Ontario towards research and development and intellectual property protection.
