GreenCentre Canada Appoints New Executive Director

KINGSTON, ONT. (July 8, 2015) — GreenCentre Canada is pleased to announce the appointment of Pete Pigott by the Board as Executive Director, effective immediately.

Since April 2014, Mr. Pigott has worked to make GreenCentre a sustainable and successful business focused on effectively introducing new green innovations to market—whether they originate from Canada’s pre- eminent university labs, from ambitious entrepreneurs, or from established companies looking for additional lab resources.

Former Interim Executive Director Lyle Clarke will remain with GreenCentre in an advisory capacity to facilitate a smooth transition. He will continue to provide strategic advice and build the company’s relationship with broader innovation organizations, including the Ontario Network of Entrepreneurs.

“I’m looking forward to continue growing GreenCentre’s footprint in Canada’s chemistry sector, with a focus on commercializing innovative Green Chemistry solutions,” Mr. Pigott said. “I also want to thank Lyle for setting the stage for a very promising new chapter for GreenCentre.”

About GreenCentre

GreenCentre provides an extensive and practical range of laboratory and intellectual property services to support the development of chemistry-driven activities in Ontario. Specifically, GreenCentre offers sector- focused chemistry technology development, intellectual property assessment, business development, and commercial services. The company serves the research needs of academics, entrepreneurs, and established companies by adding value across the entire development chain, through our two facilities in Kingston and Mississauga, Ontario. Its head office is located at Innovation Park at Queen’s University in Kingston.
