Compute Canada Town Hall Meeting at Sheridan College, Jan 23rd

Tags: Sheridan College

January 6, 2014 RICCentre

On behalf of our partners at Compute Canada (CC), Sheridan invites you to a Town Hall Meeting as part of CC’s National Consultation Initiative on advanced computing for Canadian research. These meetings are a critical component of CC’s strategic planning process for better support across Canada, as they will give a voice to the national research community.

The Town Hall meeting held at Sheridan will also address the advanced computing needs of the local small and medium-sized business community.

Topics to be discussed include:
• What is the most significant gap or problem in the delivery of advanced computing in Canada?
• What are the critical activities that CC should undertake during its next mandate?
• What are the particular challenges CC will face in achieving its proposed goals?
• Is CC being sufficiently forward looking? What is missing?

Date: January 23, 2014
Time: 9:00am- 12:00pm
Venue: Sheridan College, Hazel McCallion Campus, Room A229
Address: 4180 Duke of York Blvd, Mississauga, ON

RSVP: http://computecanada.ca/researcher-consultation
